Pastor Joseph Agbo grew up very religious as the son of a minister in an orthodox church, but not born again till 1988 when he gave his life to Christ in the university.
Having laid “his hands on the plough,” (Luke 9:62) he went on to “put his neck to the work of the Lord” (Nehemiah 3:5) where his burning zeal for soul winning made room for him to become the next Evangelism Secretary of the Student Christian Movement (SCM). His hunger for God and holiness led him to Deeper Life Bible Church where he has served his Lord and Master in different capacities for over 34 years.

In 1997, Pastor Joseph joined a core group of believers in Carrollton Texas in a house fellowship to start Deeper Life in Texas. Today, that “little beginning” is now the headquarters church in the southwest region. As the church grew and expanded, he was sent forth by the leading of the Holy Ghost to start another Deeper Life branch in Denton, which he led, by the power of the Holy Ghost, for over 10 years.

In obedience to the Lord’s instruction through his regional overseer, Pastor Thompson Aderemi, he started yet another branch of the church in Lewisville which he has now led for over five years. Author and preacher, Pastor Joseph has a master’s degree in engineering. He has a full-time secular employment while serving his Master as a Pastor. Pastor Agbo has been married to his sweetheart Folake for over 22 years and the marriage is blessed with three children.
